Arts

The Arts program is a college-level visual arts initiative developed by the College Board that encourages students to think creatively, communicate visually, and develop a personal artistic voice. Through its three portfolio-based courses—AP 2-D Art and Design, AP 3-D Art and Design, and AP Drawing—students explore materials, processes, and ideas as they build cohesive bodies of work. The program emphasizes sustained inquiry, experimentation, and critical reflection, helping students prepare for the rigor of college-level art and design programs. AP Arts also distinguishes students in the college admissions process by demonstrating advanced creative, conceptual, and technical skills.
