History and Social Sciences

The History and Social Sciences program is a college-level academic initiative developed by the College Board that encourages students to think critically, engage with complex texts and data, and develop a deep understanding of historical and societal systems. Through its ten rigorous courses—including AP U.S. History, AP Psychology, AP Government and Politics, and more—students explore human behavior, political institutions, economic principles, and global developments across time and place. The program emphasizes analytical writing, evidence-based argumentation, and interdisciplinary thinking, helping students build the skills necessary for success in college and informed citizenship.
